We’ve had some sunny days, blustery times, and powder conditions. Sometimes all within a day. Spring skiing can bring a variety of conditions as the the northern hemisphere of the earth tilts back towards the sun. We experience rising temps, competing low and high pressure air masses, higher diurnal temperature swings, and atmospheric instability. We have seen a string of sunny days since the snowstorm a week ago. That looks to change once again as we head into the weekend with some snow forecasted to begin on Thursday night. It looks like this could last a few days with perhaps a small break in the weather on Sunday. After that, we return to snowy weather for next week with some potentially surfy snow conditions. This heavier snow is great this time of year as you tend to ride above on the higher density snow avoiding any melt/freeze surface conditions below. Check the weather and stay tuned.
