The mountain is one hundred percent open! The Ski Patrol team worked to open the last two trails in Mirkwood (East Trees and Lodgeview). For the first time in our history, we have 9 out of 9 lifts spinning and 80 out of 80 trails OPEN!! That’s a lot to enjoy!

It’s been a fine time to get in some laps in Mirkwood Basin. The boot pack to the top is in fine shape and it’s been very friendly hiking weather. Many of our visiting pass partners from other ski areas continue to comment that Monarch is looking and riding pretty darn nice in comparison to their home mountain. We had a recent opportunity to tour the new 25-acre Skytrac facility located in Tooele, Utah (just outside of Salt Lake City). This new facility includes all the fabrication, welding, plasma cutting, sand blasting, painting and manufacturing infrastructure for building Skytrac Lifts.
